Luke Airforce Base

We got to take a tour of Luke Airforce Base in Arizona.  Stan's buddy is the chief of military police and took us to watch a training exercise for the dogs they use in Afghanistan.  It was amazing. We got to watch dogs sniff for real bombs that were hidden in a warehouse, attack an "enemy" and guard a "prisoner" as they walked. I'm not much of a dog fan, but these dogs were amazing!  The handlers were amazing too. I had no idea that so many dogs were used. They said there are something like 350 dogs being used in Afghanistan and more were needed. After the demo we took a brief tour of the base and got to drive near some of the fighter planes - very cool.
