Mother's Day

My first real mother's day!  It was fantastic!!! The whole weekend was great. On Saturday morning I got to work out for 2 hours. In the afternoon I cashed in on a 1.5 hr massage Stan had bought for Christmas.  That night we had a date - dinner at Peppino's followed by a movie (Hanna - was ok).  Cole hung out down the street at the Sheppards. On Sunday, I got to sleep in and awoke to a beautiful breakfast spread including fresh sunflowers, french toast, fresh berries, eggs, bacon and juice.  My guys also gave me cards (Cole's had pictures of us in it) and I have a bracelet on the way with Cole's name.  At church the youth treated all the women to fresh smoothies and See's Candy. After church I got even more spoiled with a hot cinnamon roll in the oven from Stan. The whole day was relaxed and I felt loved and wonderful.  Another neat part of the day was that I got to quote mom's saying - One with God is a majority in my sunday school class.  Also by working with Gena we were able to get some temple work done that we know would be meaningful to mom.  It felt great to know we can still love and honor her and I know she is happy.  During this past week I posted different picts of mom on Facebook which was cathartic too. It's sometimes hard to know if looking at old photos will make me sad or miss her, but it was wonderful to see her smiling face and feel her.  Love you mommy!

This pict was me and Smoodge taking in the sunset at the beach - love that he has his arm around me.
My lovely mom!
