On Easter we went to church and then had a yummy turkey dinner followed by easter egg hunts for the kids and Papa Gene thanks to the J Youngs. Stan headed up to Portland for meetings for the rest of the week while Cole and I hung in Corvallis.
On that Wednesday I got to have an overnight date with Stan in Portland and Cole stayed with the family in Corvallis. We stayed at the Nines hotel and met up with friends again for dinner. It was a blast! We did appetizers, dinner and dessert at three different restaurants - like old times. The Dallas Mavericks were playing the Blazers that week and happened to be staying in the same hotel. We rode in the elevator with Jason Terry and Jason Kidd. Interestingly enough Stan and Ben were much taller - if someone didn't know they probably would have thought they were the professional ball players.
I was very excited to sleep in, but in classic mommy style woke up a few times in the night and woke up right about when Cole would have awoke. It was nice to laze in bed though and not be on duty! I did some shopping and errands and headed back to Corvallis in the afternoon.
We flew back Friday night, but this time all sat together. Cole is a champ flying - this logged his 9th flight! We had a great time, but it was nice to come home to some sunshine. : )
Traveling with daddy - as a side note this crosswalk was taking longer than Stan wanted after he pushed the button to turn green. Stan got impatient and pushed it a minute later and it said "Wait!" -haha
